Table Talk Tuesday - Setting The Family Table

Hello, hello!!

Welcome back to A Mascara Moment!!

I don't have a recipe for you today.  Truth be told, I have not been cooking much lately.  When my husband is home, we indulge a little more in restaurant meals and my parents have been cooking up a storm and inviting us for dinner.  I can never refuse a free meal!!

Instead today I want to talk about setting the table.

Table Settings

This is an area that I do not excel in.  My mother and grandmothers always had a perfectly set table with place mats, napkins and full tableware set already laid out.  The meal was dished from community platters in the middle of the table.  I wish I had some photos!

I am not like this.  I don't even own side plates.

This is something I would like to change.  I love the look of a beautifully set table!  In my constant quest for organization and decluttering techniques, a tip I run into time and again is to keep the table set constantly to avoid it being a household dumping ground!

Possible Choices

All of my dishes are white, so I can get a little fun and bright with my table settings.

Below are my favourite options.  They are both from Sarah Richardson Designs!

I will update you with some personal pictures once I order the items and set my table!!

Do you set your table of leave it plain?  Let me know in the comments!

Hope you have a lovely day and I will talk to you tomorrow!
