Make Up Monday - Forgotten Favourites (L'oreal)

Hello, hello!!

Welcome back to A Mascara Moment!!

How was your weekend?  We actually got some of that yard work completed!!  Now to work on the bigger stuff, taking down the tool shed and building a fence!

Today is another installment of Forgotten Favourites.  This is where I revisit an item that I used to be in love with but stopped using for one reason or another.

If you want to see what today's item is - keep reading...

L'Oréal Telescopic Mascara

L'Oréal Telescopic Blackest Black

Holy heck, why did I ever stop using this??  Why??

The second I swiped this on my eye lashes - I was back in love!!

The mascara comes in a sleek gold tube.  The applicator is a long, thin oval shape.  It has short plastic bristles on four sides.  The shape of the applicator lets you separate and define each and every lash.

The mascara is a wet formula which allows the liquid to glide on the lashes so easily.  You only need one swipe to coat and another to build up and separate.

This mascara goes on like a dream and stays put all day.

I love it!  This is high end quality mascara at a $8.99 price tag.

Pros

  • very lengthening
  • easy application
  • buildable
  • doesn't flake or smudge
  • lashes are still flexible

Cons

  • not volumizing
  • wet formula - prolongs drying time
As you can see, there are not a lot of cons here for me.  I am so happy with this mascara it is going to become a staple in my make up bag again!

Dupe For YSL Babydoll

YSL Babydoll Mascara

I had an old blog post that was about how this was a perfect dupe for YSL Babydoll.  I have no idea what happened to it.

Anyway, this is a great dupe for YSL Babydoll and I actually prefer the L'Oréal to the YSL because the YSL smudges on me.  I end up with black under eyes by the middle of the day.

How do you all feel about Forgotten Favourites as a series.  I am really enjoying it!

Let me know if you try this amazing drugstore mascara out!

Take care and I will talk to you tomorrow!
