Make Up Monday - All About Palettes (Urban Decay, Tarte, ABH, Becca, Too Faced, Stila, It)

Hello, hello!!

Welcome back to A Mascara Moment!!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  It is very cold here, so we spent most of the weekend inside on the couch.  We did brave one trip out to buy new sheets for our bed.  My son has six sets of sheets.  We were down to one and they are sheets I have had for eight plus years.  Invest in good sheets!  It is worth it!

Back on topic, let's talk about makeup!

Today I want to share with you my large make up palettes and give them all mini reviews.  I had reduced my makeup palette collection right down and then this year there were so many great ones that came out, it was all over!   I did not include smaller quads in this.  I can do a separate post on those if anyone would like to see it.

Let's have a look!

2015 Purchases

Urban Decay Pulp Fiction

This little four pan palette is one of my favourites!  It gives a classic 90's look, which we all know I love.  This and a frosty pink lipstick and I am in heaven, lol!

It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty

It Cosmetics really started the all matte palette trend.  This was a must have at the time.  I find that I never use this palette. After this came out, there were much better matte offerings.  This is probably going to get tossed with my next clean out.

Stila In The Know

In The Know is my favourite matte palette of all time!  It is unfortunately not available anymore.  You can still find it on ebay and amazon.  The shadows are all creamy and apply and blend perfectly.  I reach for this a lot and am so sad they don't make it anymore.  Recommend.

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani

When this came out, I was all over it.  I purchased it the very day it launched.  The colours are gorgeous, the palette is gorgeous, the formula pretty much sucks.  I keep using it hoping for some sort of ah ha break through.  It has not happened so far.  I want to love it, but just don't.

2016 Purchases

Becca Jaclyn Hill Face Palette

There was a lot of controversy surrounding this palette, but I have had nothing but success with it.  The blushes are gorgeous and add a perfect flush to the skin.  I use the brown based blush as a bronzer.  It is perfect for my pale pink toned skin.  The highlighters are to die for.  They can be subtle or crazy depending on how you apply!  Recommend.

Tarte Swamp Queen

Another palette with some controversy, but I don't care because I love this palette.  I use it all the time.  I have a full review on it hereIt is back on the market and I say go for it!  Recommend.

BH Cosmetics Be... by Bubz Beauty

The perfect little eyeshadow palette.  I have a full review on it here.  I also use this a lot.  It is easy to blend, gives subtle tones and the concept is adorable.  Recommend.

ABH Master Palette by Mario

The must have palette for 2016 and it is not without reason.  Amazing colours, quality and longevity.  I have a full review hereRecommend.

ABH Modern Renaissance

Another must have palette of 2016.  ABH hit it out of the park this year.  The colours are a cool tone lovers dream.  They are creamy, pretty and apply like a dream.  I have a full review here.  Recommend.

Too Faced Peppermint Mocha (from a large palette set)

I got this for Christmas and love it.  It is such a cute little mini face palette.  The colours are beautiful, apply well and blend well.  They are a little dry, but it doesn't seem to affect performance.  The blush reminds me of Nars Orgasm and gives me the same kind of look.  Recommend.

There we are, my large sized palette collection!  Hope this post was helpful in some way!

What are your favourite palettes??  Let me know what is on your wish list for 2017!

As always, take care and I will talk to you tomorrow!
